Day 1: 50 def, cold, raining, we launched from OB and sailed through Long Island Sound uneventfully, through Hell's Gate which was an exciting first! But it was still low vis, raining, and very cold. Greeted by the Atlantic Ocean with huge swells and high winds. Began watch. 4/7 crew completely debilitated due to seasickness including me. Worst night of my life. 100NM
Day 2: Cold, rain, high swells, and high winds continued throughout the night with continued seasickness until sun came up and wind and swells lessened. Reached the mouth of the Delaware Bay to completely flat water and high spirits returned. Reached the C&D canal by nightfall. 120NM
Day 3: Warm, sunny, low wind, high spirits, we motored most of the way through the Chesapeake Bay to Annapolis. 60 NM

Around Block Island Race cancelled due to heavy winds, so we went out sailing for fun/practice. Upwind J3 peel to J4 then to storm jib (straight to single reef in main). We were cruising and was finding the groove well @ helm. Downwind we flew A4 spin and broke the boats speed record at 10.7 kts! Lost the backstay and then the spin and put storm trysail up before it started to rain and we dropped sails and motored in

Wed night fleet racing, only 3 crew (me, Jasper, Harry), I drove and we got a bullet first race! We didn't even put up the kite. 99% of the race was the start and it was allllll me. 2nd race we started 1st, rounded the windward mark in first, but got rolled by the boats with kites up and finished 3rd. Great crew. Ended sailing early due to impending tstorms and got rained on on the way in

Oakcliff match race practice tacks, gybes, dial-ups, and starts. Crew Joe, Harry, Taima, Ivvy. Great comms, great conditions, great sailors

Oakcliff night practice to prep for offshore racing. Spin to FRO with a letterbox takedown, peel from jib 3 to jib 2, and reef practice. A bit of a test of focus, but crew had great comms and spirits were high.

Delivery with Jasper and Ethan from Oakcliff. Launched at 0241 and sailed through the night on shifts of 2 hours on, 1 hour off. Light wind and heading upwind most of the time meant lots of motoring.

First time match racing with Jim Giebel and crew at an oakcliff clinic. Learned a TON about bow. Confidence is growing with new skills

FIRST TIME ON THE 49er! Super hard to trim the spin, need to get stronger. Double trapped with Ian as the sun set my first day in new york. Legendary.

Big breeze, holding Tom on the trap well. Tacking wire to wire and gybing with spin full the entire time. Fucking amazing session. Broken autobailer.
