Debbie and I took Mystic to watch the Blue Angels. I've never seen more motor boat chop when we departed.

Debbie and I spent Saturday afternoon on the Chesapeake followed by an overnight in Meredith Creek. Warm, sunny and 5 to 10 knot breeze from the south. Tested the A/C capacity and anchoring capability with a stiff knee after hip surgery. All is go for the CSSM cruise in a week.
Bruce and Steve joined Debbie and me for my first sail after hip joint replacement surgery. 15-20 knots of wind from the west. Party sunny, mid 70s.
Debbie, Bruce and I went for a sail in the pollen zone. Sunny, 70 degrees, light and variable winds. Last sail before hip joint replacement surgery.
Debbie, Bruce, Steve and I sought to find the Ever Forward. She was anchored south of the Bay Bridge. Winds 5-10 knots from the south. Sunny, 50 degrees.
My brother Hugh, Eric Purdon, Charlie Ford and Bruce Burke joined me for a sail up the Severn River. We had a nice Southerly making for a quick trip. We alternated between wing and wing and a broad port tack reach. Wind speed 15-20 knots and 6-7 knots boat speed. Sunny, high in the 60s. Off of Valentine Creek we furled our sails and explored both Valentine and Plum Creek. We them motored up to Indian Landing. On our return trip the wind was on the nose and building so we motored the rest of the way home. Top recorded wind speed of around 30 knots. Great memories of my youth on the Severn.
Bruce joined me on my fuel stop and pump out in Back Creek. We had a leisurely sail home. Southerly wind 5-10 knots Temp in the 70s.
Bruce and I took his Catalina 36 Windsong II out for an afternoon sail. Shifty, 0-15 knots. Temp 60-70 degrees.
Grapevine Cove to home port. We awoke to less than 6" under keel. Cold temperatures and blustery breezes from the WNW. It was a slog to weather with the maximum recorded wind speed of 31.5 knots. At the mouth of Eastern Bay we used engine assist to get across the bay with choppy seas and adverse current. Once across, we had an exciting close reach to Whitehall Bay. An exciting conclusion to seven days on the Chesapeake made comfortable and enjoyable with the upgrade of solar panels, lithium batteries, high output alternators, 12 volt heat pumps and a water maker.
Leeds Creek to Grapevine Cove. Lunch in St. Michael's with Larry and Judi Weaver after a CSSM meeting. Sailed up wind to the mouth of the Wye River. Grapevine Cove offered just over one foot below the keel. Hoping for no low tide.
