PRO for the High School Regatta at WRSC hoting 6 local JV High School teams! Challenging winds (both in strength and direction) made for a fun day for both the sailors and the support boats.
Century Club: Raymond Bay
Spent the day checking, updating, and fixing all systems on the club 420's in preparation for the JV High School Regatta. Centerboard systems, vangs, halyards, standing rigging, tiller universal joints, and the sails were all replaced or repaired. Full day spent on the floating docks on the cold windy day doing a detail check of the boats. Wow was it needed!
Kayaking around jug bay. Lunch on the water!
Replacing all the old standing and running rigging to the boat. Full day of splicing, load testing, and on-land functionality testing. Also repaired crumbling mast rotation arm and failing rivets on the mast/boom.
97 days on the water and 3 days of boat work. I averaged 2.2 drinks per day on the water. I uploaded my excel file tracking my days. I did not know until today that you had to track online now. I have no personal interest in spending my last day of the year filling in each day, lol. Here is the link to RJ Bay's Excel file documenting every day.
Happy new year to everyone!
