Up to the drawbridge
Century Club: Ben Clark
It is 87 at 8am, so I am opting to stay inside with the air conditioning instead of kayaking up to the bridge and melting like the German officer at the end of Raiders.
I took Orla up to Sandy Point Park and she fired up okay and after a few minutes warming up it was off to the Bay. I headed down to Annapolis, which was a choppy ride but I did see Stanley Norman under full sail, along with both Woodwinds. Then I went south a bit, and took her across to the airport in Stevenville, but nobody was running the pattern, so I went north through the east channel and then west to Podickory Point, and then a slow ride back to the boat ramps, with a detour at the lighthouse,
Went up to the new peeler just past the Rowe Bvd bridge. Very sticky, but hotter days expected to come this weekend.
Up to the bridge and then had to wait forever for the wake to settle down.
I went over to Manresa Pond. It was a lovely day with low humidity and lovely sunshine, so I was all tucked under my upf50 shirt with the neck gaiter that is sewn-in.
Up to the drawbridge. Heavy rainstorms this morning and coastal flooding occurring.
Went all the way down to back creek and in a bit. Too hot. Damn too hot.
