I spent a while cleaning off the boat again this morning. I took a ride before noon and stayed in the River because of Gale warnings on the Bay. It was pretty windy and rough on the River. Some of the creeks were snow covered.

Well, we got even more snow than expected. I spent the entire day shoveling and cleaning off the boat. I thought I was iced in but realized that it was mostly slush. I went out to get photos of the snow covered Lighthouse.

I went for an early boat ride today, it was very cold out and the weather is going to take a turn for the worse. I went by the Thomas Point Lighthouse to see if I could get some nice ice photos. The Bay was beginning to get pretty rough so I headed back.

Snow last night and a blowout tide today made it difficult to get the boat off of the lift. After cleaning the snow off of the boat and checking numerous safety precautions that I take before boating in below freezing weather, I was able to take a ride.

When I got home from work, the water was calm and the day was looking ok. I went out to the Bay and enjoyed some rain, some sleet, and even a little snow. We have some harsh weather ahead for the next week or so. Time to set up a heater in my bilge.

It was a chilly night on the water. I went under the bridge at Turkey Point Island and by the Fleming Yachts. I ran into Pork Chop on the River and talked with him for a while, he was shucking and eating oysters.

Happy New Year. Today was very windy and the Bay was rough. I took a ride out to the Thomas Point Lighthouse which turns 150 Years Old this year. All of the flags were waving hard today.

FINALLY, Day #366 on the water in 2024. 731 consecutive days for 2023 and 2024.

I spent today with a bunch of my close friends to celebrate Day number 366 of going out on the water in 2024. I started this SpinSheet Century Club challenge on January 1, 2023 and continued through 2024 bringing my consecutive days on the water to a total of 731.
I feel very Blessed to have completed this personal challenge which grew since day number one. The support that I have felt has been overwhelming. I would like to thank each and every one of you that helped, supported, encouraged and followed my little journey but there are just too many of you, you know who you are. Just know that I am very humbled and grateful for each and every one of you.
This has been quite the adventure for me. Through this journey, I have become even more passionate about this incredible area that I call home and the people who live here. There has been a lifetime of memories and relationships that I have acquired over the last two years. There have been some tough days but they have been far outweighed by awesome days. There have been great days and a few sad days. Over all, I wouldn't change a thing. THANK YOU EVERYONE!!!

I got a little bit of a late start today but Dianne and I were able to get out before sunset. We did a little Ship watching and then checked on a kayaker out in the middle of the Bay. He was fine, just doing a little fishing in the rough water.
