Alan and I went out on the Kiwi Kruzer into the Potomac. Shut the engine off and floated while we read and Alan napped. Perfect way to spend an afternoon. Execept when we came back, and put the cover on the boat the boat floor was so hot it made it almost impossible to stand or crawl on it as I have to do by going under the cover and put up the rigid stays that hold to cover aloft. It was 96 degrees out, felt like 115, but the temp under the boat cover had to have been pushing over 150.

Went out in the afternoon in considerable wind and choppy waves. Out to party cove and beyond.
Took the pontoon boat out on the Potomac with visiting friends Patti and Dale. Made a lunch for the boat and had a great time just yakking.
Alan and I sailed to the Potomac in quite windy conditions, but in the river it was very choppy,, didn't like it too much. But it was a beautiful sunny day and that was very nice. Alan says I'm not made to be a sailor. Yeah. I get pretty anxious when there are white caps on the water.
Paddled out to meet up with Alan who was coming in on his sailboat. Beautiful day. Warm, minimal humidity. Makes you forget the horrid days of July.
Back home today, 4.5 hour drive. Kayaked to the other side of the creek to Flounder Fjord. Lots of herons, cormorants. Water was so still it mirrored the trees above it.
Out in our friend's inboard/outboard boat which really zipped along. Cool, cloudy day, actually got rather chilly on the water. Explored the north-east side of the lake. Checked out a house some other friends are building waterfront.
Rainy chilly day, but went out on friend's boat to explore the lake.
Visiting friends at Smith Mountain Lake, got up on their paddleboard, tho I did fall twice.
I kayaked and Alan paddleboarded out into the creek. Very calm and warm afternoon but minimal humidity. Nice.
