Island Blossom won the morning race for the Covington Trophy. Island Bird placed 4th of 12. Island Lark withdrew after a collision with Mystery. In the afternoon, Island Bird placed 9th of 11. Island Blossom carried away the top of its foremast.

Island Blossom won, and Island Bird placed 5th of 7 canoes in the morning race, correcting over Jay Dee and Mystery. In the afternoon, Island Bird placed 6th, beating only Billie P. Hall, which capsized.

We fell behind and placed 8th of 8 canoes in the first race. Shortly after the first race, the committee set up for a second to make up for a lost race the day before, when the wind died. Unfortunately, Bird capsized before the second race started, which gave us an incredible view of the start.
