During our week at Rodney Scout Reservation in Cecil County, our scout troop went to the Susquehanna Flats waterfront for a sunset paddle. I took a clunky old flat-bottom aluminum rowboat so that two non-swimmer scouts could get out on the water. They each had paddles; one paddled forward, the other dragged. Quite a trick to overcome their paddling.

Took Esperanza out of her slip under sail, since engine wouldn't fire. Sailed downwind under ENE light breeze to Long Point marker #7, then tacked back under full rig. Brian, Thomas, and Drew Christianson joined Nicholas and me for the sail, and young Drew took the helm for most of the leg back up the river. Looks like he caught the sailing bug.
