In the morning race, Bird placed 6th of 9. Magic capsized, Cloud did not start, and Edmee S. withdrew. I did not go out in the afternoon so I could prepare for CBMM's Boating Party, so Nicholas took my place on jib. Just before the Boating Party, we took a group out on Patriot.

Rowed at sunrise. We were surprised to find goose hunters in a boat just off our launch, taking advantage of the first day of resident goose season. Turned to boat work in the afternoon, applying a coat of varnish to Esperanza's brightwork on deck, cleaning out the boat barn, and raising Clair de Lune on jack stands for some work on the centerboard trunk.

Island Blossom won the morning race, followed by Persistence and Billie P. Hall. Bird placed 6th of 7 in the morning race. In the afternoon, Island Bird was the first to capsize; Mystery carried away her foremast and Jay Dee carried away the end of their bowsprit, tearing up the foresail in the process.
