Rowed at sunrise. We were surprised to find goose hunters in a boat just off our launch, taking advantage of the first day of resident goose season. Turned to boat work in the afternoon, applying a coat of varnish to Esperanza's brightwork on deck, cleaning out the boat barn, and raising Clair de Lune on jack stands for some work on the centerboard trunk.
After discovering a fuel leak on our boat, we drove up by land and received a dinghy ridge from Queenstown landing so that we could enjoy our planned dinner--just without our own boat rafted alongside.

At dawn, I rowed stroke seat in the Vespoli VIII. In the afternoon, I crewed for Nicholas on Sea Hawk in a light air breeze all the way to Long Point mark and back.

Persistence won the Sunday race, followed by Island Blossom and Billie P. Hall. Bird placed 4th.
Island Blossom won the morning race, followed by Persistence and Billie P. Hall. Bird placed 6th of 7 in the morning race. In the afternoon, Island Bird was the first to capsize; Mystery carried away her foremast and Jay Dee carried away the end of their bowsprit, tearing up the foresail in the process.

It was breezy at the outset, and we kept a careful eye on Nicholas, sailing on Sea Hawk.
