Sat nd Sun evenings had nice, albeit humid and warm, seabreezes so we went out to get a little outside time in the heatwave with 100deg het index. Saturday was 8-10kt and flat, Sunday was more 12-14, 2ft chop with the breeze against the ebbing current. Just our usual tight reach towards Matapeake/R90 then back to Whitehall.

Strange summer, July upwellings at OBX bringing 58deg water to Corolla- not fun to surf but there were a few mornings that worked, one dawn patrol with the dolphins.
12-15, then some lunch in Lake Ogleton, and 15-20 afterwards. NIce to do hullspeed even with 2.5 years' of growth on her!
Anchored in Whitehall bay, expected to head back in the AM but a nice 8kt was waiting for us, so we went for a 3H sail over towards Matapeake (our usual easy reach-both-ways trip)
Brought Shore Patrol to our maina and launched her there, test run to see how the evolution might work.
1st sail- she floats! Launched from the USNA Mill Creek marina, kinda ghosted around it back to the ramp.
was a rough, cold, wet spring and lots of distractions away form the boat. So, after a mid-March start, we only got 5 days total through mid-June.

finished the pram kit I got for Christmas 2020! Lots of sanding, and then more sanding, then a little paint and lots of varnish (and more sanding)
A lifelong dream- to sail on Turkey Day! Only 3-5kt and jsut about 45min under sailpower alone, but it counts!
