We don't usually head into the water after a rainstorm, but things were too inviting tonight! Just a few quick pulls for each of us before sunset on Ramsay lake. Trying to work on my switch riding- go up and stable, but can't make turns that way yet.

finally lost the NE wind, was able to ride some stuff just before low, some from the SE and some from due E, a little weird phasing/periods but could get it to work for some short rides
pure wind-driven, 5sec period, with some Easterly stuff mixed in. The wash machine finally spun down enough around sunset to catch a few sets that I could walk to via the point bar and not try to paddle through the spin cycle.
Small, 2-3ft, no well-defined face but decent punch.
SOMEONE has to ride those 3ft shorebreaks.
Well, not so shore breaky at low and where the sandbar happens to form a bit of a point. Mostly closeouts with some clean righties.
at friends' down in Colonial Beach- some kayaking, SUP, windsurfing, dinghy sailing (JY15, Sunfish, and Lapstrake pram), and wakeboarding with our group o' 30ish people. All watersports, all weekend.
Out with some neighbors in 12kt, and just as we trimmed the genoa to close-hauled, there's a 'crack' and the luff gets wrinkly. We look up and the upper car of the roller furler had just broken apart- so the genoa is on deck now with the remains of the car and the halyard up high- that'll be fun to get later.
Anyway we kept sailing under main only, albeit at 3kts instead of 6. Still fun, and a nice dinner in the creek just before sunset.
