No Thursday night race, so Special K sailed to James River, back to east end of Willoughby Bay, and back to slip at Rebel Marina. Great evening for sailing. Clear sky, winds 12 to 15.
I joined delivery captain and 2 delivery crew for passage from Bermuda to NYCC in Norfolk.
Great race under all conditions, but with tragic loss of life of a skipper of Morgan of Marietta after fall from boat in high winds and the loss of Challenge Accepted's bow sprit in the same windy conditions.
Help load fuel, water, food, stack sails, and prepare boat for sea.
2 day sail to Block Island; on mooring ball in Great Salt Pond for 3 nights, ashore for drinks, dinners and supplies; then to Newport Yachting Center.
Work all day on Jenneau 53 preparing boat for passage at sea
