Went Sailing Wednesday evening with a few friends. We didn't race but had a great sail around the harbor!

We took my 4 year old granddaughter for a sail on the Bay. We sailed down the beach at Ft Monroe looking at all the people then sailed out for a close look at Thimble Shoals Light. Nice day on the water!

We raced Saturday with the Old Point Comfort Yacht Club. Started out around 6-10 and finished at 15+. Absolutely beautiful day for sailing, not too hot and very calm water. Literally smooth sailing, perfect conditions. Finished 2nd out of the club boats, first in the cruising fleet.

Fort Monroe falling behind.
I went to the boat today to do a few things and it was so pretty I went for a sail across the harbor! Turns out it was really windy! I was doing 7.2 off the wind with the tide behind me! Headsail only!!

A peak of sunlight on a rainy evening sail.
Our first Wednesday night sail of the season! Racing hasn't started yet but we decided to go sailing anyway! It was sunny, cloudy, misting, wet and windy but a nice sail after all. Of course the sun came out after we headed back to the dock! By the time the boat was put away and we made a drink it was raining!

Middle Ground Light
Scott and I sailed Black Dog out around Middle Ground Light and back today. Not the pretty sail but very nice relaxing day on the water. Of course the sun came out about the time we got back to the dock!

We went out for a little sail today with my Granddaughter and her mom and dad. It was Mom and Taylor's first sail! It was cool and overcast but we had a nice sail and then got takout lunch from Surfrider. Very nice day!
