Last day on the water for 2021! To Deep Creek inner Green mark, out through Magothy channel and back to beach. Very calm, very gray, slightly foggy. Good number of ducks, and the hunters were active. Chatted with a kayaker on the water enjoying the day. Goodbye 2021, Happy New Year to all!

Morning SUP. Inlet dredging wrapping up, wind a little up on Bay, so launched inside inlet again for Little Magothy Tour. Lots of geese. Kingfishers, some comorants, Buffleheads and Mallards. Dredging equipmment gone on return so went out inlet to beach.

Lunchtime SUP. Winter Solstice SUP! Little Magothy tour - dredgining going in the inlet, so launched and recovered off of inlet path. A whole lot of geese! They flew in from area fields over the upper river and landed in the mid part of the river, covered the water from side to side. Had to look out for goose bombs falling from the sky...

Before Work. To Deep Creek, first mark in Creek, to Little Magothy Inlet marks. Visited the beach restoration project work sites. Very calm, water very clear - can see bottom pretty far from shore. Looks like all the Cormorants and gulls that had been in the LIttle Magothy are now hanging out around Fariwinds near mouth of Deep Creek. Lots of Buffleheads!
