WRCRA Frostbite race. Borrowed John Baker's A-Cat for an extra WRCRA Frostbite race (The Annual Turkey Buzzard Race) in Galesvile out of WRSC. Great start but hit the start pin with the tiller extension, did my circle and was much behind. Good race, got on the wire, great day out of what the forecast initially had as being very light.

Afternoon cruise with daughter Abby and Greg up the Bay along Gibson Island and points north of the Potabsco. Wind from the west with periods of strong gusts. Basically a reach up and back, boat speeds mostly cruising around 10 but frequently in the 14 to 16 range, beautiful day a and great fast cruise.
Morning Blue Friday paddle - From Little Magothy inlet to Lake Placid in Arnold, back to LM inlet markers and to beach. Very calm, water mostly clear but oil on surface throughout trip. Some hunters but very few ducks.
Thanksgiving Day paddle. Along Cape St Claire shore to Persimmon Point - upwind in building breeze and ride with wind back to Little Magothy inlet, then complete tour of LM. At beach ran into Doug heading out, so paddled with him again to Persimmon Point and back. Morning started wth clouds and some rain drops, turned into a cleear sunny day. Thankdful for another day on the Bay!
Before work. Tour of Little Magothy with Greg. Still excellent paddling weather, tide very low.
WRCRA Frostbite race. Borrowed friend's A-Cat for the last WRCRA Frostbite race in Galesvile out of WRSC.
Morning paddle, hunting season open and hunters doing their thing. Into Little Magothy and then to Gibson Island East side to avoid hunters, up shore a bit and then to CSC shore, along shore to LM pier and then back out to channel marks. Took a morning relax drifting on the board and watching the crab boats pull traps.
Before work. Along Cape St Claire shore to Deep Creek mark and back, into Little Magothy to pier. Wind built in LM for a good upwind sprint. Back out to inlet markers and to beach. A bit chilly but warm with the morning sun! Lots of Buffleheads and Mallards.
Before work with Greg. Winds still strong but now from westerly direction. Tour of Little Magothy, mostly stayed to western shore to stay in wind shadow, but did have sections of good upwind sprints, a few downwind spots.
Beginner downwind! Winds mid 20s from SE with gusts higher meant Little Magothy lined up perfectly for a beginning try at SUP downwinding. Two cars, put in at Little Magothy park and went downwind to Little Magothy pier with a car at each location, did it twice. Not enough fetch for real waves, but great fun and great way to learn for doing a bigger run!
