We took our friends out for a pontoon boat ride. We couldn’t more than 400 yards from our dock when we heard thunder and decided to play it safe and return home. Hopefully this 10 minute outing will count as a day on the water.

I haven’t been out in a week and was a bit overly optimistic that there would be a nice breeze for a midday sail. I was out for about an hour and probably covered less than a mile. Oh well, it was still fun.

Leaving Cobb Island
A couple of swans greeted us when we returned home
With the temperature in the nineties and muggy it was a perfect day to take the pontoon boat across the Potomac to Cobb Island to fuel up.
