Went out for about 4 hours as far up the Potomac as the Alexander Graham Bell house. Mixed wind, sometimes terrific, other times almost non-existant.

About a half hour paddleboard to Stepp’s Marina. Karen joined me in her kayak.
Sailed on Mattox Creek out towards the :Potomac. Not much wind but another day on the water.
Mellow afternoon sail on Mattox Creek.
Took friends out on the Potomac on the pontoon boat.
With a nice steady wind this morning and my newfound confidence thanks to Sail Solomon’s sailing lessons I took in June I couldn’t resist going out for a morning sail on Mattox Creek out towards the Potomac. Taking the course of least resistance the wind pushed me towards the entrance of Monroe Bay. A few hundred yards from the entrance I saw a pair of dolphins’ surface three times about 30 yards away. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to take a picture of these magnificent mammals.
Paddleboard on Mattok Creek.
It was a super-hot day in the 90's but there was definitely a breeze, so I headed out. Looked like a good day to cross the Potomac to Cobb Island but the wind became pretty much nonexistent, so I ended up motoring back. Though I like the warm weather I’ll be glad when this heat wave is over.
Late morning / early afternoon sail on Mattox Creek. Okay wind to start but ended up motoring much of the way back.
