Winterizing the boat.   My health was so bad that my wife and son helped me get the jib, dodger, and bimini off the boat.  Unlike previous years  the boat is still in the water - pulling it out was going to take too much out of me.   Winterized the water system and the seawater engine cooling and did an oil change.

Did a singlehanded sail from our slip off the Rhode River to a point between Annapolis and Thomas Point light.   The wind was light and shifty and twice the jib was backwinded in the shifts.

A ketch anchored in the cove on the Rhode had sunk - the boat had been anchored there last fall and had been seemingly abandoned.  A few days ago we had passed by and it was still afloat but low in the water.

This was my last sail of the season - I was having problems with my kidneys and my health was deteriorating.   I'll be back out there for 2023.  Otherwise I'd have made the Century Club again this year.

Sailed from our slip off the Rhode River with Carolyn towards the lower end of Kent Island and back.   The winds were light and shifty at first but improved for the return trip.

Did a singlehanded sail from our slip off the Rhode River.  The winds were sort of start/stop and shifty.  First headed towards Eastern Bay, but with a wind shift ended up heading towards Thomas Point Light.  Got aways past TPL and the wind started dying.  So I turned around at that point.

Did a singlehanded daysail from our slip off the Rhode River.   Originally planned on heading into Eastern Bay - it was a close reach.   THe wind kept on shifting and ended up going upwind towards the northmost point of  Poplar Island.   On the way back, I started out on a beam reach, but the wind shifted so was headed upwind. Then the wind lightened, and the current made it so it would take several long tacks to get back.  So I motored home.

Did  a singlehanded daysail from our slip off the Rhode River to Eastern Bay.   Turned around when I was well south of #1E.  The winds were shifty, and they started dying so I motored most of the way back.

Did a singlehanded sail from our slip off the Rhode River to Eastern Bay #2 and back.   On the way over I passed the "New Dove", built in 2022, motoring northwards.     Decent winds, with an occasional +20kn apparent wind gust.
