Sailed with Carolyn from our slip off the Rhode River, up north past Thomas Point light and out into the middle of the bay. Didn't go any further due to the lightish winds.
Did a singlehanded sail from our slip off the Rhode River, up near Annapolis. Close reach up, close reach/on the wind back. Apparent winds were around 16 kn, but with gusts up to 25 kn.
Did a singlehanded sail from our slip off the Rhode River to Eastern Bay #2 and back. On the way back had to skirt a thunderstorm that was over the western shore and south of the Rhode River.
Did a singlehanded daysail from our slip off the Rhode River. Originally headed towards Thomas Point Light, but the wind shifted and ended up going towards the southern end of Kent Island. The breeze began dying just before I turned around, and ended having to motor most of the way back.
Did a singlehanded daysail from our slip on the Rhode River. Put the spinnaker up and headed towards Thomas Point Light. Was able to sail up as far north as Annapolis before turning around - gybed the spinnaker and headed in the general direction of home. Had to eventually drop the spinnaker to make it to TPL and on home.
Did a sail with Carolyn from our slip off the Rhode River. We ended up going to the southern end of Kent Island, just north of Bloody Point. We considered going into Eastern Bay but the skies looked too much like rain.
I first did my midseason oil change on the engine, then did a singlehanded sail from our slip off the Rhode River. The winds were light and I first tried to sail in the direction of Thomas Point Light. The winds shifted around so I ended up heading in the direction of Eastern Bay. Finally the wind increased a bit, but by that time it was time to head home.
Did a daysail with Carolyn from our slip off the Rhode River to just past Eastern Bay #2 and back.
Did a singlehanded daysail from our slip off the Rhode River. The wind was light and shifty, and took quite a bit of time to get to West River #1A. Heard some thunder, and decided that drifting and a thunderstorm didn't sound fun so I went home.
