Finally warmer days to kayak in comfort. Paddled over to see a property across the river where they are installing a new dock.

Kinda cloudy cool day but we went out for a sail around the creek and to the Potomac. Windy enough for a good speed.
Filled my day with yard work, rototilled the garden, planted lettuce, beets and radish seeds, also peanuts. Went for my daily 3 mile walk and ended the day with a nice kayak around the creek. Very windy and the creek had huge swells coming out of the east, instead of the usual choppy waves with the occasional white caps. Not sure I've ever seen this phenomenon before. I wonder what the river looked like.
Went out in the afternoon to watch Alan out his sailboat. Took a few pics, paddled around a but I was in shorts and t-shirt and at 51 degrees and pretty breezy, I got really cold so back in I went.
Alan and I went out in his 15 foot Precision today for a couple of hours. He got a new mainsail as the old was was looking like it had had a hard life. Trying to learn all the parts of a sailboat and points of sail as we are going to take the ASA 101 class in June. I drove the boat for the first half when the wind was barely there and Alan the second half when the wnd picked up. It was chilly out but nice to be out on the water.
Kayaked to the other side of the creek. Cool out tho warmed up when the sun showed thru the clouds. We fished in the afternoon, I caught 3 catfish using thin strips of raw pork. Guess they'll eat anything.
Alan and I went out, he on his paddleboard and me in my kayak. Little chilly out but nice paddle over to friend's dock, Steve and Kim. I'm off to Texas todsy so no water ventures until I get back.
Fishing off the dock, we need the crab bait and eventually we will learn how to clean fish. Alan caught 4 big catfish, I got a big ZERO.
Went out with Alan on his 15 foot Precision to experience windy cold weather. Too windy for me, wish I could get over my fear of sailing. I truly am a fair weather boater.
But I went out anyway. For the last 2 weeks the weather has been terrible for kayaking. But today promised 69 degrees and calm. So I was psyched to get out there. Was a short paddle . Was 51 degrees with 9mph winds. I tried to paddle into the wind but the waves kept pushing me away. So I probably only went about 300 yards which felt like 3 miles. I didn't want to capsize so I turned around and headed back which took like 5 minutes
