Back on headsail trim for the first race of series two on Incorrigible. Had a great (but sporty) start and ideal conditions through the whole race.

Spent Sunday on Rascal going down under the Key Bridge. Crews were working on clearing the last of the debris to re-open the main channel and it was eerie to see what's left up close. Got some good time at the helm on the way home with variable and gusty winds.
Round 2 at the mast on Incorrigible for the final race in Tuesday Night Series 1. We had some strong upwind legs despite technical difficulties on our downwind ones and enjoyed a nice sunset at the finish. Today was a reminder I have much to learn but always great to be on the water. Thanks Lynn and Deadrise for the pictures.
No pictures but dusted off my paddle board after a couple of years and went out in the Patuxent off of Snow Hill.
Back down in Solomon's for Memorial day weekend and a very silly race on my brother's boat, the Spicy Meatball, a Chrysler Buccaneer. Light winds at the start and up back creek which built nicely as we got out in the creek. Took a different course than many of the racers which worked to our advantage and I managed headsail trim and a couple spin sets and douses with some coaching. We won the race with points from some frosty beverages including a surprise gift from another racer. After the race we went out on another friend's Pearson 31-2 and anchored out in the river to swim and swing off one of the halyards as a rope swing before sailing up to the Solomon's bridge and back. One of the best days I've had on the water in recent memory.
Back on headsail trim for Tuesday night on Incorrigible. Had a great start and stayed competitive throughout the race. We changed out the spinnaker for a larger one after the first downwind leg which made a huge improvement. Also shadowed Pete and Lynn on spinnaker trim to eventually start doing the pole end of that operation. As always, thanks Lynn for the great pictures.
Beautiful day out on Rascal, sailed down near the key bridge and back while enjoying a great food spread. Drove for a little while and enjoyed getting to relax after a busy week. Also saw a very cool race boat docked out in the harbor - a Maxi 72 "Proteus". Wonder what it was doing in Baltimore?
A dreary day out on Incorrigible with clouds and light rain through the race. Worked on the mast for the first time and learned a lot. Strong race overall with good teamwork from everyone on board. Thanks Lynn for the photo.
Was down visiting my brother for the weekend and we had the change to race on a friend's J/33 Elysium. Did main trim for the first time as well as some spinnaker work later in the race. Winds were light at the start and through the first race but picked up in the second and third. Overall a beautiful day on the water and a good learning experience in a new position.
No wind today, motored out into the harbor and waited until RC called the race. Better luck next week!
