We had our last race of the year on Sunday November 22nd. Lite wind conditions made for a comfortable race, and the rum befor the finish made it all the better! Im hoping to have a few more days on the water this year, but with COVID raming up... my work load in increasing. I know Im always in my best head space when sailing on the water.

Sunday Nov. 8th - SMSA's second Frostbite race of the fall. We took 4th in non spin, but held our own. the other boats were MUCH faster then us and we just couldnt correct over them with the wind we had...but with 70 deg temps in November... who can complain!

Well I hit 100... And Sundays race started out very much like this year. It was a cold wet dreary start for Sundays Frostbite race. I olny had one crew member show up... But, we did well, took second in our class and had a nip of rum at the end of the race to celibrate 100 days and the now sunny weather at the finish of the race! Unfortunitly I did not take any pictures... My phones were stowed below out of the wet and nasty weather. Come to think of it. we went with out any nav or instuments for the whole race! I guess we were out felling the angles and changes in pressure! All in all, it was a great day and Im glad to have hit 100. I have 3 scheduled races left in the year and maybe 2 more family outing. round out with 105? Sure let do it!

Firday October 16th was short motor around the creek to pump out the black water tank and refuel for the weekends races.

Saturday October 17th - Hoopers island / Point no Point lighthouse race. We had great wind and an awesome downwind race! Truly my Pearson 31 is a downwind machine! now... if i could only get her to perform upwind in the same way! I dont know to race results yet, but I feel like we got a solid 3rd place. Crew was great and everyone had a "cold," but fun time!

Sunday October 18th - Fall invitational race. Totaly new crew... so we didnt perform our best. We did finish the race in last place. I actually ended up being the fordeck and letting another crew member helm the boat so we could go down wind "Propperly." I think everyone had fun and the new crew members said they would love to come back. So ill take it as win.

Well, I guess this late in the season, some are looking to pull their boats from the water... not me! I was busy working on repairing items we broke in the Screwpile race and get the boat ready for 2 races next week! After repairs were made, we took the boat out and tested a new to me spinaker. If it worked i would have bought it from the owner. but... it was very narrow for the boat and i couldnt get the spin pile high enough to square the Clews...o'well... still had a great time, and it was cool to see a different spin up on the boat.

Friday September 25th, my son and I delivered the boat to Annapolis for the AYC race to Solomons. We had a great time and it was a much needed "stay-cation."

Saturday September 26th, we raced from Thomas point to Solomons in just under 8 hours! hugged the rum line almost perfect the whole trip. It was rainy and foggy and we listened to Jazz the whole way! was a great day on the water!

Sunday September 27th, No wind... First day of screwpile, we sat around PR1 waiting for the wind to fill...only to get about 3/4 of a mile of racing in befor they called it for the day. Sad face...lol.

Monday September 28th, WIND!!! WE were able to get 3 races in. We suffered a number a breakages and didnt place well, but we started every race and finished every race. Thats a win in my book! Im looking forward to seeing the pictures on Spinsheet hopfully later today.
