#40 - 2 miles to Camp Roosevelt and back. For a change, I had great paddling conditions and a good 2-mile run in the Bay.

Well, on a busy day, I waited too long, and I did not have favorable conditions for paddling. SE winds 15+ and the associated waves made for challenging paddling. It was another short trip.
On Mike's boat, I coached him on getting his new boat, sv Morning Star, in and out of the slip. He did great and he was really getting the hang of it by the time we were done. In the end, he was beaming and I was the proud coach.
#37 Under overcast skies and a light rain, Dave and I made the most of our time alone, paddling to the Breezy Point channel and back. It was just over 2.0 miles. Great times.
#36 It cooler, breezier, and the Bay was choppier than I expected. It was tough paddling and this was admittedly a shorter session than I was hoping for. By the end, I had a wet seat and I was cold.
Captain Dave Ohler handled the boat and provisions. Mother Nature provided us with Chamber of Commerce weather. And the Blue Angels provided our family with memories that we will have forever!
After a great workout in the gym this morning, I still managed to get in the kayak. If the Bay was flat yesterday, it was very challenging this afternoon. Against building winds and waves, I only made it to the cliffs on the south end. I made the turn and returned home with a wave on the quarter. Another day and another workout, even it was short.
On a day after sailing and workout kayaking on Friday, my arms and shoulders were sore. Still, I got out there got the muscles moving and the heart pumping. I went to Breezy Point and back.
Reefed main and staysail again. Perfect.
To Camp Roosevelt pier and back with interval paddling!
