An evening run at low tide to the Breezy Point Beach.
Century Club: Bob Ohler
For the third Wednesday Night Race in a row, we faced light-air conditions. But this week was better, because we won! We beat our rivals and faster boats on strategy! The winning margin was small but we raced them to the finish line and took home the win!
Helped move Barba Roja to her new slip in Spring Cove Marina.
In a light rain, freshening breeze, and a nuisance chop, I paddled south to the Breezy Point property line and back. Another good shoulder and arm workout! That’s #16.
On Mother's Day, following dinner, the girls went swimming while I kept an eye on them from the kayak.
Without Steve the Skipper, I along with Dave Ohler and Joe and Jess did a good job of sailing Barba Roja around the marks in both races. The first leg of the second race was one of my "Top 10" sailing days of all time.
It was a good kayak run on a flat Bay. 2 miles. Good workout.
It was back to back Wednesdays of light-air racing on the Pax River.
After many years at Calvert, I moved the boat to what I believe is going to work out well for us
The course was shortened by the RC but it was still a long, slow night of light air sailing.
