#45 Caught a southerly breeze coming up the Bay. We pulled the hook, motor sailed out of Eagle Cove and on a beam reach with all her sails a flying, we sailed across to Swan Creek. Went in to Harbour Haven, fueled, iced, watered, and showered before heading over to Swan Creek. Anchor down at the mouth of the creek, enjoying dinner and the wonderful evening breeze.

#44. This was one of my all time best sailing days ever, sailing upwind on Eastern Bay under reefed main and staysail, making 4 tacks to make the the turn at Bloody Point. Sailed downwind, under the bridge, into the Magothy and anchored behind Gibson Island in Eagle Cove, in front of the horse farm. It was a great 8-hour day with some great sailing! It was a Cape Dory Day on the Chesapeake Bay.
Pulled the hook in Dun Cove, went through Knapps Narrows on high tide and proceeded on to St Mikes for showers and ice!
After a long day yesterday, we decided to take a lay day on the on the hook in Dun Cove and test the new dinghy.
#41. We had a great first day of our cruise... 30 miles in 6.75 hours. We sailed, motor-sailed, and motored. I wanted to be sure a long distance run did not turn into a marathon day. We went swimming in Dunn Cove, had dinner and did all our nightly boat chores. After a brief shower, the sun came back out and we're enjoying this beautiful evening on the hook.
#40. We again took third place. I was on the helm after Steve handled the start. Good night to be out there!
#39 Good, quick upper-arm workout in the kayak.
This was a good, tough arm workout against a Chesapeake chop and a southeasterly breeze. I still managed to get a 1-mile kayak run though.
Sailing Team Barba Roja sailed well with a short crew of five. We tried everything but could not catch Shamal and Knot Enuf corrected over us. I worked the mainsheet and took the helm. It was good to be back racing again!
Good, honest 1-mile morning kayaking on a flat Bay to the dead-tree zone.
