I was asked to train another captain so she could be checked off on Sky Lee. It was a chilly day but not frigid. Only a few ice patches floating here and there. We were surprised to see Sky Lee still had holiday decorations, so we took those down when we returned to the slip. LOL.

My last captain shift for the holiday season was on New Year's Day when I was Captain Mrs. Claus of the Jolly Express. I really tried to stay out of the way of all the sailboats participating in the Hangover Bowl. One of my scheduled tours was starting just as all the boats were jockeying for starting position (or so it seemed). It was tough to stay out of the way! This photo shows the bow (and red nose) of Miss Anne coming down Ego Alley at the end of my tour as a few of the racing boats were finishing in the distance.
Worked two back-to-back Jolly Express shifts as Capt Mrs. Claus, just before Christmas. Told the kids that Santa was very busy at the North Pole and he needed me to run the Jolly Express.
I was captain of the Jolly Express for 5 tours today, and was delighted when 9 ladies from my neighborhood book club came on the 3 pm tour.
Visited BB on the hard at Port Annapolis Marina. Sails coming down today.
Such fun being Captain Mrs. Claus today as we launched the Jolly Express season. So wonderful to bring smiles to faces, both on and off the water.
Gathered with other captains to learn Jolly procedures at new location at end of Prince George St. Drove Miss Anne from pax pick-up location to overnight slip.
Passed Thomas Point Shoal Lighthouse. Gray dreary day relocating BB to go on the hard for the winter. Appropriate for sadness at the close of sailing season. Refueled at ALM.
Prepped BB for relocation to PAM. Removed all liquids and foods. Easier to do at dock than on the hard.
Dewatered fresh water systems then added antifreeze on Day 1 of winterization tasks. Changed oil on Day 2 in main engine and genset.
