I was one of sixteen members of CAPCA who enjoyed a private tour of Thomas Point Shoal Lighthouse on a beautiful June day.

Our daughter Kat flew in from New Zealand to visit Annapolis for a few days prior to our son's wedding in NC. She was able to join me on Miss Anne for a tour!
Blue Angels, Navy graduation, and Memorial Day are busy days on the water. I worked as captain and crew, including my first as crew on the 90-minute tours that Watermark offers, and as crew on our Day on the Bay tours to St. Michaels. I also worked as crew on the Harbor Queen, on a day with 625 field trip students across 4 tours. And I worked my first holiday of the season as captain, on Memorial Day. Exhausting but fun!
Not many passengers on MIss Anne today due to weather. But the skies were quite dramatic.
Well, it was a long unfulfilled wait. I worked as crew on a private charter during the Blue Angels scheduled show on May 21. As many know, the Blue Angels never flew, due to weather. But lots of boats were out there, waiting and waiting.
Wow, what a day as captain! I've never seen Ego Alley so crowded, and it was challenging to be at the helm for multiple tours in busy waters. But as the sun began to set, the town got a bit quieter and the views were spectacular.
My friend Elaine and I enjoyed a tour of Baltimore's inner harbor, and out towards Fort McHenry, on Watermark's Annapolitan II.
Each year, my friend from Long Island Sound spends a week with me on Belle Bateau, and then I visit her to sail in Long Island Sound. She is smitten with the variety our Chesapeake Bay offers. This year, we anchored near the horse farm in the Magothy, moored in Swan Creek to visit Rock Hall, and anchored in Mill Creek near Cantlers (and yes, we had steamed crabs).
I worked two days in a row as Captain of Miss Anne at Annapolis City Dock.
We love to visit St. Michaels by boat. We anchored close to town this time, since it was early in the season and not many boats were anchored out. We had a great view of the CBMM. And we were able to meet up with friends Suzanne and Joe, returning from the Bahamas. They were anchored in San Domingo Creek on the backside of St. Michaels.
