We started winterizing BB today. We focused on dewatering, since the winds were too high to take the sails down.

I was crew on the Harbor Queen for the tenth time, and we had a few more field trips, though smaller numbers this time. The November weather has been delightfully warm for this time of year. At the end of my shift, my Watermark teammates celebrated my "promotion" to Crew 2, and gave me epaulettes. Fun!
I was crew on a delivery of a Watermark large boat to Yacht Maintenance in Cambridge MD, where the boat will spend the winter. We were met by our maintenance crew who gave us a ride back. It was a GORGEOUS day to be on the water.
I enjoyed hosting my grandchildren on Belle Bateau. It was their first time, and I had to procure the correct sized PFDs for their visit. The two little ones, ages 2.5 and 4, were amazed at how small common things were (like the oven, stove, refrigerator) and how every nook and cranny stored something, including the dining table top which we set up for our dinner.
My son and his family visited from North Carolina. We all took a ride on the Miss Anne, down Spa Creek and around to the Naval Academy. It was fun to show my grandchildren a bit of Annapolis from one of my favorite tour boats.
I worked as crew today on the Harbor Queen, for a total of five tours. The first tour was included 150 kids and chaperones, on the HQ for an educational field trip. The second tour also had a field trip. Those early boisterous tours were followed by more tranquil passengers. Phew! But it was fun to watch the kids enjoy being on the water.
We leisuredly sailed to the West River in low winds but a delightful 68 degrees. Anchored across from Pirates Cove and had an early dinner, getting back to Belle Bateau just after sunset. It was a chilly night, and temps were 46 degrees in our cabin the next morning. But we have hydronic heating, and are able to heat our cabin without running the generator or being on shore power. That helped! There was no wind so had to motor back to SBYC.
The boat show takedown prevented us from picking up charter guests at City Dock, so the Lady Sarah picked up passengers at Annapolis City Marina. Beautiful evening on the water!
I was crew on a delivery to Baltimore. Fun to be on the water on a pretty day, sailing to Charm City. We took an Uber back to Annapolis.
I served as crew on a private charter on Cabaret II
