Walked around the island, then stopped in the middle of the Potomac on the boat and had a picnic lunch. Nice day. I love summer.

Beautiful day to take my visiting brothers and wives to Tangier Island via the ferry in Reedville. Interesting place, unfortunately, we spent half of the time waiting for our food at Larraines restuarant which was very slow. But cool ride on the ferry there and back.
Why oh why do these pictures upload sideways when they are perfectly normal on my computer?????
Took the visiting brothers and family via the Kiwi Kruzer to Dockside, a local restaurant on the water, great day. Had good orange crushes tghere. Alan stayed sober and captained us home.
Rode around mattox creek and the Potomac with my brothers and wives, and Alan. Today was the first day was able to get the boat on the lift without destroying anything.
Somewhat coolish day out, in mid 60's. But I wanted more boat driving practice before family descends on us in a few days. Meandered around the creek. I tried to dock the boat on the lift and failed miserably. Alan had to do it, he makes it look so easy.
Alan and I took the pontoon boat across the Potomac river to Cobb Island. Beautiful day out. Bought gas for the first time, gag, almost $100 for 17 gallons. Boat is officially named the Kiwi Kruzer. Appropriate stickers are applied.
Fishing for catfish off the dock. Alan tells me this counts as a day on the water, so I'll take it! We caught 5 big catfish which will go into the crab pots.
Alan and I kayaked around the creek, pretty windy until we went around the point and then very calm. Able to get my feet in the water so I guess the water is getting warmer. Wish it were 85 degrees tho.
Took the pontoon boat out, practiced "docking" next to crab pots. Cool day. After about 8 tries to pull into our slip, and aborting ach time because I couldn't get the boat to straighten up, I pulled in, breaking yet another guide pole. I hate this boat. I can't get the cover on/off by myself, can't dock, it's just too big of a boat for me. Anyone want to buy it?
