After visiting the Hobie Wave and raising its mast earlier in the day, I took the paddle board out on Assawoman Canal this afternoon. Paddled into the small lake off Bethany Beach canal. Surprised to see a large number of sea nettles in the lake especially this early in the season.

While I didn't get the Wave out on the water today, at least it is now parked at the club for the beginning of the season. With that accomplished, I then headed to the Assawoman Canal and took the paddle board out. 63F, sunny, with winds 12 mph from the SSW at time of launch (4:00pm).
Left Jabins at 10:25am. 57F, cloudy, with wind at 9 mph from the SSE. Arrived at dock at 1:20 pm.
Left Government dock at 9:00am. 76F, sunny, with winds at 6 mph from the SE.
Picked up charter boat at Romora Bay Marina. Left dock at 8:30 am. 72F, sunny with wind at 10 mph from ESE. Fed Green marine sea turtles, great snorkeling, incredible deserted beaches with pink sand. Even picked conch shells from a mound at Mackey Island. Back to dock at 12:30 pm.
Grabbed the ferry (Briland Island Breeze) from the dock on North Eleuthera and traveled to Government Dock on Harbour Island. (82F, sunny, 10 NNE) at time of departure (1:05pm)
80F, sunny, with wind at 9 mph from the S at time of launch on Cattail Creek (6:55pm).
83F, sunny, with wind at 9 mph from SW at time of launch (6:55 pm).
Took the paddle board out for a sunset paddle on Assawoman canal. Nice temp, no current, a significant number of trees cleared from the canal. 78F, sunny, with wind at 9 mph from the SSW at time of launch (7:00 pm).
