In spite of the heat and humidity, took the paddle board out on Assawoman canal today for a mid day paddle.  Was surprised to see a great blue Herron out at mid day.  85F, sunny, with winds at 9 mph from the S at time of launch (11:30am).  Fortunately, the canal is tree lined and a bit of the breeze reached the canal.
