Wednesday eveing we had a fun race where my crew got to practice working on our starts and tacking. We ended up doing well in the race and got 1st in our class by 11secs.
Thursday thru Sunday I helped with the on the water activities as Support boat 2 for the Bucc 18 Nationals, which was held at our club this year.
I had a blast this weekend sailing with my son on his Muttineer Hydra Beast. We had 3 classes of boats racing, Lasers, Bucc's and Portsmith. We sailed in the Portsmith fleet with 8 other boats. As ive said on previous occations, Tommy is the helsmen when on his boat even at 12yrs old! We didnt win, but we did a hell of a job keeping the compatition on there toes! We placed 5th over all for the 2 days. Not too bad considering we were faced off agaist 2 VX's, 2 I20 Scows, an Albacor, a Flying Scott, a "Flat top" Laser and a Club 420! I m super proud of our performance and took a TON of pictures for the club and our Facebook page.
August 31- Out photographing Tommy and the Highschool team for there first practice.
September 1st - Wednesday night race. We took 1st place! woo hoo... The huricane kept alot of boats tied to the dock.... but were crazy and love the big breeze!
September 2nd - I did RC for the Small boat race. We got to see the Pride of Baltimore come in and anchor for the evening as well!
September 3rd - Took friends out on my boat to teach them sailing. had a great time watching the Pride sail around solomons.
September 5th - Solo sail in light air... only stayed out about an hour...
September 6th - Solo sail to the Solomons Bridge and back. SAiled from the dock and back to it on the big boat. Though it was goo practice incase the motor ever fails.
September 7th - Went out to watch Tommy sail with the highschool team and ended up crusing around the solomons area with just the genoa out. Watched tommy get wet...haha... poor kid...lol
September 8th - Last Wendsday night race in Series B for SMSA
September 9th - Last Thursday night race on Tommy boat Hydra Beast
September 10th -Sailing with friends and watching tommy on the highschool team.
Watched my boast race around the course from RC on Wednesday evening and Thursdays i asisted with RC by being the crash boat for the small boat fleet
August 14th - Teaching on my boat! the young couple i took out did a great job and handled the boat realy well. It was a great day on the water!
August 18th - Keel boat race at my club in Solomons. We took second place for the night in our fleet
August 19th - RAcing with my son last night. No wind...we were a paddle boat for the first hour on the water! then we got some lite breze and were able to get one race in. Out of 11 boats we took Third place. Im realy proud of how well my son is doing learning to sail and helm his boat!

July 24th-Sharps Island Middle Distance race
July 25th- Took out of town family out sailing for the day. There first time on a sailboat!
July 28th- SMSA Wed. Night Keel boat race - Took second place
July 29th- Moved the Barba Roja to Annapolis to prepair for my first GOV CUP on my own boat!
July 30th- GOV CUP race! chased the Pride of Baltimore II down the bay...
July 31st- Arrived In St. Mary Collage at 3:24am! Holy cow its the earliest ive ever finished the race... We take home a Third Place trophy! WOO HOO!!!
July31st- Evening/ move the Barba Roja back to Solomons
August 1st- Teaching Adult learn to Sail at SMSA.
August 4th- SMSA wed. night Keel boat race. Took 2nd place
August 5th- SMSA Thursday night small boat race on Hydra Beast with my son. took 3rd over all for the evening.
So, ive been a teacher on the weekends helping with the adulit learn to sail class. Im enjoying it more then i thought i would. Teaching is helping me be a better sailer as well. Im not saying, im the best, but I guess im good enough to teach...lol. We spend 3 hours on the water, sail from and to the dock with out a motor
July 7th - My boats on the hard, so I talked a friend into taking his baot out to race! Still had loads of fun!
July 10th - Took my son out for his new sail test! the little MUTT did 7knts plaining on a reach! Docked then went out again. 2 in one day!
July 14th - Almost a reace.... I was going to take my sons boat out with him for the keel boat race...but mother nature had other plans!
July 15th - RC duties for SMSA small boat race.
