It was a beautiful drive and fun weekend with my ILCA friends. Sadly, there was not enough wind to race. We did launch on Saturday for some practice in the occasional puff. The rest of the time was spent swimming, sunbathing and drinking beer with my pals.

It was hot, flat water holiday so we sped down to the middle grounds to test our fishing skills at the target ship. The bite is slow but we got three Spanish Mackerel. First of the season!! We stopped for a glassy swim on the way home.
Our local Olympic hopeful, Leo Boucher, and Charlie Anderson ran a fantastic speed clinic at SSA. We had a blast leading on the water with our friends and then loaded the boat for the next ILCA sailing adventure.
We finally got the paddle boards off the rack and walked them down to the community launch. We got a short paddle in before the evening storms.
It was a beautiful weekend for a beach regatta. The Gibson Island point on the Magothy River was a spectacular venue. We had two fun days of racing and a beach BBQ. What a fun weekend!
We once again took a ride on the Key West in search of fish. We trolled through many birds and bait balls in the Pax River with no luck. No luck bottom fishing for catfish either but we did catch one good size crab. At least it was a nice day on the water. Maybe next time!
Our dear friend and Centurian Michael-Anne picked us up at our community dock for an evening cruise after racing was cancelled due to lack of wind and power outage. It was a beautiful night!
We had a great sail with Terrapin and her new sails to the Little Choptank River on Saturday. We anchored off Palm Beach Willie's and rowed in for a great orange crush and soft crab sandwich just before sunset. On Sunday we motored to our favorite anchorage on Hudson Creek and did some napping and dinghy cruising. Monday we had a great sail back to Solomon's dodging the rain squalls. A great holiday weekend cruise!
My favorite holiday in Annapolis! Two days of fun on the water with friends and an awesome air show. It is a highlight of the year for me and the official start of summer in Annapolis. Go Navy!
