The previous Sunday we put a scratch in the gelcoat on Terrapain (dang metal mooring buoy in our creek!) so we launched the old faithful Frankendinghy Achilles because she makes a great on the water repair platform.  Friday night we took row to the Marine Museum to hear the concert.  Saturday I washed the side of the boat in preparation for gel coat application.  Good times!

We headed out for a weekend on Terrapin.  We were hoping to go south to Virginia but the big waves and strong southerly said no way.  So we turned around and had a great sail to our favorite anchorage on the Little Choptank.  We even caught one Spanish Mackerel for dinner.  Sunday morning we had a fun dinghy ride to the town of Madison.  Sunday was a northerly so we had a fun sail home.  We dogged a few thunderstorms along the way.

It was a light breeze weekend with lots of powerboat chop!  Yay, Annapolis!

Saturday I won two of the four races in the ILCA 6 class.  Sunday it was a long slog out to the race course in dying breeze and powerboat chop.  I had a poor finish in the first race so just headed home.

We got Terrapin out for another weekend adventure.  This time we motored 42 miles south to the Great Wicomico river in Virginia, near Reedville.  It is once of our favorite anchorages on the bay.  We had a hot motor south and caught two Spanish Mackerel (our first for the season!). Sunday we sailed home in a nice southerly, catching two more beautiful Spanish for dinner.

Terrapin is finally fixed and we had our first overnight in almost a year.  We had a hot motor to the Little Choptank where we anchored in Hudson Creek and took a long dinghy cruise.  Overnight it cooled off with some breeze and we had a nice downwind sail home.

It was a light a lumpy Saturday for racing.  Sadly I broke my tiller universal in the first race and did not finish.  Thankfully the breeze came up in the afternoon and I placed 1 and 3 in the following races.  Sunday racing was cancelled so we had a nice Back Creek Paddle!
