We were on the windward mark boat for the SSA Snipe Junior Nationals and U30 invitational. Nice day on the water in a building southerly. Six races!!

It was a light and lumpy weekend in Annapolis for the ILCA summer series at SSA. We had four races on Saturday in a dying northeast breeze. Sunday we had one long and excruciatingly light race. I ended up in second place for the ILCA fleet. Great competition but we could have used a big more wind!

It was a beautiful evening for a powerboat cruise! Clear, cool and breezy. We witnessed a busy city dock and Ego Alley including the tiki cruise karaoke.

I made a guest appearance on Beth Scheidt's J-105 Smoke'N Okum. We had a great breeze and respectable finish considering we had to restart after being OCS. No pics because I was too busy sailing!

We finally had a break in the stubborn heat and enjoyed a cool breezy weekend. We went out for a day sail on Saturday but found the conditions too lovely to turn around and head home, so we sailed on south to anchor on the Big Annemessex River. We had another great sail on Sunday most of the way home, until the wind died near Hooper Light and we had to motor. It was a gorgeous weekend!

We finally got the kayaks out and paddled to the concert at the maritime museum. It was a fun show with The Grilled Lincolns. The we beat the crowd to Davis and had a peaceful night paddle back up Back Creek.

1) July 16 - We had a short boat ride on Weds evening before the storms came in. We caught the tail end of the Weds night race action. Very humid
2) July 23- another Weds night cocktail cruise. This time with a friend and beautiful sunset.
3) July 30- caught a little of the WNR!

We sailed the annual SSA Portsmouth handicap distance race on Sunday. It was a race up the Severn River with a pursuit start. The ILCA 6's started second after the Daysailers. I managed to pass the only Daysailer and keep all the other boats behind me to be the 2025 No Ice Bowl Champion!

My favorite dock bar has reopened under new management. It is a great place to swim in, eat, drink and play corn hole! We hope to be back again soon.

We cruised Terrapin south to Virginia for the holiday weekend. We spent two evenings at anchor in Little Bay where we partied on Cedar Beach with the powerboaters. We took a dinghy ride to Windmill Point Marina for lunch at the Tiki Bar. Sunday we anchored on the Great Wicomico near Reedville. Monday we headed home to Solomons and even got a little sailing in. It was a great weekend!
