We got Terrapin out for another weekend adventure. This time we motored 42 miles south to the Great Wicomico river in Virginia, near Reedville. It is once of our favorite anchorages on the bay. We had a hot motor south and caught two Spanish Mackerel (our first for the season!). Sunday we sailed home in a nice southerly, catching two more beautiful Spanish for dinner.

Terrapin is finally fixed and we had our first overnight in almost a year. We had a hot motor to the Little Choptank where we anchored in Hudson Creek and took a long dinghy cruise. Overnight it cooled off with some breeze and we had a nice downwind sail home.
It was a hot and humid day so we decided to forgo the golf course and take our boards out for a paddle on Back Creek.
June 16- a beautiful flat day on the bay. We ran down to the target ship and caught a 25 inch bluefish!! It was huge!
June 22- a breeze day run to the Little Choptank for lunch at Palm Beach Willie's. Nice day for a soft crab sandwich and orange crush. Rough ride back in a building southerly
June 23- nice day for a ride up the Pax River for a beach cocktail.
June 28- evening boat ride
June 28- attempted fishing up the Patuxent. No fish. Stopped at Myrtle Point beach for a swim.
September 6- cloudy day fishing

August 11- we took a ride to the target ship/ Middle Grounds and caught 7 beautiful Spanish Mackerel and 3 nice bluefish. Looks like I will be smoking fish for dip!
We finally got around to installing the new thermostat and fresh water pump on the yanmar. Now Terrapin is purring like a kitten. We got her out the slip for a sunset sail to celebrate. Now time for a bottom job!
It was a light a lumpy Saturday for racing. Sadly I broke my tiller universal in the first race and did not finish. Thankfully the breeze came up in the afternoon and I placed 1 and 3 in the following races. Sunday racing was cancelled so we had a nice Back Creek Paddle!
I rushed home from work to catch the tail end of the Blue Angels practice. I missed most of the show but got to see some friends out on the water. It was a beautiful day!
I served two days of race committee duty on the SSA red RHIB as the pin boat for the Soling Notth American Championship. Friday was cold, rainy and breeze on! We tried to set a course on Saturday but found it too light for the amount of current. Oh well. It was a fun weekend on the water.
