We had to change our vacation plans and drive to FBYC for this annual highlight of the ILCA calendar. The breeze was light in Saturday before the storms rolled in. Sunday there was no racing due to lack of wind and impending weather but I am counting it because I was rigged and ready to go. Always a great time in Fishing Bay!

With Terrapin's diesel out of commission, we are maximizing our fishing days on the Key West. Sadly the Spanish Mackerel have bugged out for the season. But we did some bottom fishing for spot and croaker as well as trolling for bluefish. We have learned to smoke the bluefish so life is good!

We took a nice evening paddle on our staycation. We drank canned margaritas at the mouth of Back Creek JB honor of Jimmy Buffett. Sadly, no photos were taken.

We had to scrap the plans for our southern bay cruise due to Terrapin's engine problems. So we came up with a new Labor Day weekend plan! Powerboat ride to the beach, stay at a waterfront Airbnb and fish on the way home. It worked out great as it was a flat, hot weekend perfect for powerboating. It is good to have options! We enjoyed the party at the New Point Comfort beach.

We took Terrapin out for a lovely sail on Saturday! Sadly we also discovered a problem with the coolent system of the Yanmar which may lay Terrapin up for the season:(. Need to make new vacation plans!

We took the boards out for a quick sunset paddle after I returned home from my high school reunion in PA. Felt good to reconnect with my classmates but so glad to be back on the Land of Pleasant Living! I ❤️ Maryland.

I got a last minute invitation to fill in on Mama Tried for a Weds night race on the West River. I had to make a mad dash home from work to grab some sailing clothes but I made it. Felt good to sail on a fun keelboat team again! No pics but a great night on the water!

We started our Pax weekend adventure with sunset fishing on the Key West on Friday evening. We caught two nice Spanish and had a great dinner. Saturday we attempted to race Terrapin in the SMSA couples race up the river. We got frustrated with the lack of breeze and quit but met the others at anchor in Battle Creek. Sunday we motored back down the river and our into the bay to catch a few more Spanish for dinner. It was a fun weekend!
