E-Foiling on Whitehall Cr

10/22/2025 - 65F, sunny, calm. Started on my knees, then stood up for 20-30 minutes, then more on my knees. Worked on touch-n-gos while kneeling.

10/25/2025 - 52F, cloudy, light wind. 41 minutes of board riding from my knees. Was able to hold it on foil for a few seconds at a time now. Didn't try standing.

10/27/2025 - 61F, sunny, E@10. Stayed on my knees. Good outing with regular foiling touch-n-gos.

11/2/2025 - 60F, sunny, calm. Used the drysuit - much warmer. Crash twice from breeches.  Spent over an hour - stopping a while for snacks and charge the battery.

11/3/2025 - Nice day for foiling. Stood up and cruised around for nearly 45 minutes. Was able to do some relatively tight turns.

11/8/2025 - 60F, sunny, S@5. 39 minutes on the board. Some kneeling then stood up. Worked on foiling while standing and crashed when I came down hard once. Stayed on my knees after that.

11/15/2025 - 55F, cloudy, S@5. Water temp 53F. Drysuit is warm when I'm out of the water but is still a bit cool when in the water.

Lux to CBMM

10/17/2025 - 65F, sunny, N@10-15. BCYC Goose Cruise. We were able to sail part of the trip there and motorsailed when the boatspeed dropped too much.

10/19/2025 - 72F, sunny, S@15-20. Headed home early since the winds were supposed to build all day. Almost to G1, south end of Tilghman Island, and the jib ripped badly. It's an old sail. Motored the rest of the way home.

E-Foiling on Whitehall Cr

9/30/2025 - 75F, cloudy, calm. It's a lot of effort to get the board ready, put on the wetsuit, and get in the water. But it's a blast. I rode nonstop for 45 minutes from my knees

10/3/2025 - 70F, sunny, S@10. E-foiing and stood up today. Was able to execute some good turns. Tried foiling after a while and was able to do some touch-n-go-s. Then the board rose until the motor breeched the surface and I crashed when it came back down.

10/5/2025 - 74F, sunny, S@10. E-foiling for 49 minutes on my knees. Did a bunch of touch-n-gos. Improving.

10/11/2025 - 62F, cloudy, N@10. Efoiling - 42 minutes. I'm at about 4.25 hours on the board. Stood for about 20 minutes of the time, until I ran into something. The wind is cool through the wetsuit - need to investigate a drysuit.

9/26/2025 - Went to Cemetery Pt. Watched another Heron fishing along the shoreline. There's an 8-boat raftup in the creek. Still some sea nettles - maybe too many to take the foilboard out yet.

9/27/2025 - 73F, cloudy, calm. Paddled up Ridout Cr. Picked up a resin chair that I gave to a couple of boat workers on a dock. Seems like less sea nettles.

9/28/2025 - 73F, sunny, E@2. 100 days! Paddled to Cemetery Pt. Fewer sea nettles in deeper water. Took the efoil board out. Practiced on my knees. Crashed three times, running aground on one of them.

Outer Banks - Ocracoke, NC

9/13/2025 - took the ferry from Hatteras Island to Ocracoke Island. Very breezy. Some spray came over the side of the ferry. Fortunately, our car windows were closed.

9/14/2025 - Took the Ocracoke ferry back to Hatteras Island where I went to Avon for wingfoiling lessons. Lots of spray on the return trip.

9/18/2025 - Ocracoke ferry to Hatteras Island and back so I could go to a Wing Foiling lesson. I had balance problems standing in the chop. I could use the wing on a reach but couldn't make the surfboard go to windward. Will need to work on that with my SUP.

9/19/2025 - Another ferry ride and E-foiling lesson. I kept falling when I stood in the chop. But I was able to do some foiling from my knees. Thighs are very sore as a result!

9/21/2025 - Ocracoke ferry back to Hatteras Island for the drive home. Bought a used e-foil board from Outer Banks Kiting.

9/2/2025 - 72F, sunny, calm. Paddled to R6, no plastic, two powerboats out. Lots of fish at the surface.

9/6/2025 - 86F, partly cloudy, S@12-15. Paddled to Cemetery Pt; challenging into the wind. Picked up some plastic.

9/7/2025 - 70F, sunny, calm. Went to Cemetery Pt. Tried fishing - no bites. No plastic. A center console with kids driving made me stick close to the shore.

9/8/2025 - 74F, sunny, calm. Went up Ridout Cr. Tried fishing - no bites. Nice peaceful outing.

9/11/2025 - 78F, sunny, S@3. Paddled to Minnow Cr. About 20 geese on a yard in Minnow Cr.

9/12/2025 - 80F, sunny, calm. Paddles past Cemetery Pt. Snuck by a blue heron fishing off Cemetery Pt. Sea Nettles are thick in the cove. One with stingers 3 ft long.

Lux to BCYC Crab Feast

8/29/2025 - 75F, sunny, W@15. Sailed the first part of the trip, then motorsailed as the wind died. Anchored in Reed Cr off the Chester River.

8/30/2025 - 72F, sunny, N@10. Motored the few miles to Lankford Bay Marina.

8/31/2025 - 75F, sunny, N@5. Took the Fatty Knees dinghy fishing. No bites.

9/1/2025 - 78F, sunny, ENE@10. Set the spinnaker and sailed down to Eastern Neck Island. The wind died, so we motored the rest of the way home.
