A short rowing trip across the cove to pull the dinghy out for the winter.
Century Club: Terry Slattery
We took Lux on a 3-day trip to Shipping Cr, then to the Rhode River. The highlight was helping friends when their engine overheated due to a broken water pump belt.
Two days spent fishing for Snakeheads from my CLC Boats kayak.
Kayaking and fishing and SUP outings. Continued to pick up plastic. Saw a big turtle on one kayak outing. The air temps are lower but the water is still warm. Still no snakehead bites. Others reported catching them, so I'll continue to try. I've seen evidence of them, just no bites.
Still working on SUP paddling and balance, which continues to improve. I've only fallen once this summer.
Took Lux to the Back Creek Yacht Club annual Crab Feast in Lankford Bay Marina, a very nice facility up the Chester River. We had to motor there but were able to mostly sail back to Whitehall in a southerly flow.
Balance on the SUP is improving and my distance covered is increasing.
Still trying to catch Snakeheads without success in Whitehall.
Went on a kayak fishing charter with Damien Cook (lowlandoutfitters.com) for snakehead with no success. The water is still very warm.
Helped friends move their Benetau 50 from St. Michaels to Selby Bay YC. We were just able to sail across the bay close-hauled in northerly winds. It was a nice outing.
The water is too warm for much fishing. Just kayaking and practice SUP paddling/balancing. Saw a muskrat on one outing. Surprisingly few jellyfish, making it more conducive to SUP outings.
Lux joined the Back Creek Yacht Club for for a midsummer rendezvous.
Kayaking and kayak fishing on Whitehall for Snakehead. Still no bites. The water is really warm - dampening the fish bite.
Continued to do SUP paddling and improving my balance. Surprised two cow-nosed rays.
