8/2/2025 - 80F, sunny, E@5-7. Not enough wind to sail. Motored all the way. Alternators are dead and some nav instruments not working. The Thunderstorm on 7/31 may have damaged the electronics. Anchored in Dividing Creek to raft up with friends overnight.
8/3/2025 - 80F, partly cloudy, light wind. Motored all the way home. Lots of boat traffic and big wakes, making it bouncy.
8/4/2025 - Took a friend out at the end of the day to experience boating at night. I setup a course to follow and demonstrated identifying lighted buoys and boats under way.

7/9/2025 - 86F, sunny, S@10. Very hot in the sun, making every exposed surface too hot to touch. Short paddle in the Petrel Play before afternoon thunderstorms.
7/10/2025 - 80F, cloudy, calm. Good day for paddleboarding. First time this year and managed to avoid falling.
7/11/2025 - 80F, sunny, E@5. Paddled SUP to Cemetery Pt. Lots of small fish and saw one snakehead along the point. Nice outing.
7/12/2025 - 81F, partly cloudy, calm. Paddled SUP up Ridout Cr. Crossed several boat wakes without falling. Possibly saw a snakehead in the cove, though it may have been a ray.
7/13/2025 - 87F, sunny, S@10. Paddled SUP to R8, then back to the canal. The chop makes it challenging to stand.
7/15/2025 - 85F, sunny, light. SUP to Cemetery Pt. Several dead blue crabs and a couple of horseshoe crabs. PIcked up some plastic and a floppy hat.
7/16/2025 - 85F, cloudy, S@10. SUP into the canal, then around the 6mph markers. Mother duck with four hatchlings.

6/25/2025 - Headed to St. Michaels to join the Valley Forge Squadron cruise. No wind and hot. Motored and ran the aircon all the way.
6/26/2025 - Hot and sunny during the day. Boat workshop tour. Assisted other boats with fenders and lines when the wind picked up after dark.
6/27/2025 - Much cooler today. Wind 15kt. Motorsailed down Eastern Bay. 1459 at Haven Harbor, Rock Hall.
6/28/2025 - At Rock Hall. Fished some - no bites. Saw a couple of turtles laying eggs along the shore line. Helped vessel Aurora work around a failed bow thruster switch.
6/29/2025 - Light wind, motored back to Annapolis. Hot. Ran aircon several hours. 1131: Back home.

6/11/2025 - Headed up the Dismal Swamp Canal towards Norfolk. An Army Corps of Engineers stopped us at MM22 to tell us that a tree had fallen across the waterway. We tied up at a small dock between MM18-19. There's a bike path and toilet facility. Highlight was a racoon who tried to steal a jar of peanuts.
6/12/2025 - Had to replace the capacitor on the genset and charge the house bank. At 1143 the USACE staff told us that the tree had been removed, so we headed to the north bridge/lock. We made it into Hampton for fuel and pumpout, then stayed at the Hampton Downtown Docks.
6/13/2025 - Depart Hampton at 0709 and tied up at Cape Charles marina in time for lunch. This town seems to be doing well.
6/14/2025 - Spent the day at Cape Charles, walking around town. Lunch at the Elephant and Octopus and ice cream at Brown Dog.
6/15/2025 - 0630 Started sailing north, heading to Onancock. Wind eventually died and we finished by motoring. 1412 - tied up at Onancock.
6/16/2025 - 72F, cloudy, E@10-15. Lumpy start, jib only. Sailed to Sommers Cove in Chrisfield.
6/17/2025 - 75F, cloudy, SE@light. Motoring to Solomons Island. Saw cow-nose rays. 1248 - anchored in Mill Creek.
6/18/2025 - 80F, sunny, light. Motored from Solomons to Oxford. Definitely needed aircon today. Got carryout from the Capsize Restaurant.
6/19/2025 - Fueled and pumpout, then headed to Annapolis. We had some wind initially, but then it dropped. Saw several schools of cownose rays. 1432 - tied up in Whitehall Cr.

5/29/2025 - Lux to Solomons. Light winds; motored all the way.
5/30/2025 - Light winds again. Solomons to Fishing Bay, Piankatank River. Stormy night at anchor. Implemented several minor repairs to propane stove and plumbing.
5/31/2025 - Spent the day at anchor due to higher winds and thunderstorms.
6/1/2025 - Made it to Norfolk, VA. Motorsailed, then motored. Tied up at the free docks at GreatBridge.
6/2/2025 - Made the 0800 bridge opening and motorsailed to Coinjock. Got off and walked around.
6/3/2025 - Up at 0620 and motorsailed all day to Columbia, NC. The docks there can't handle many wide vessels. The Black Dirt Coffee Shop right is at the dock. There's a nice boardwalk through the nature preserve. Lots of turtles.
6/4/2025 - Calm winds, 72-80F, sunny. Motored to Edenton, NC. Did the trolley tour and some shopping. The wind picked up and we had to move away from the docks - found a nice protected place to anchor a short distance away.
6/5/2025 - Went back to Edenton's docks and visited the bakery for treats. Then left for Mackey's Marina, but found that the power lines were low and the channel into the marina was very narrow. Diverted to Albermarle Plantation. Walked to the golf club house to pick up dinner. Wind picked up again, so we proactively moved to an anchorage.
6/6/2025 - Back to Albermarle Plantation for diesel and water. Motored in light winds to Manteo, NC where we tied up at the Manteo Harbor Marina - very nice with showers and laundry. Grocery shopping within walking distance for reprovisioning. Restaurants and ice cream shop along the waterfront.
6/7/2025 - Craft show in Manteo.
6/8/2025 - Thunderstorms all day, so we stayed in Manteo. Found and fixed a leak around the stbd waste tank deck fitting.
6/9/2025 - 0500 Moved to the pumpout slip, then departed - headed to Elizabeth City. We were able to sail part of the day until the wind died in the Pasquotank River. Briefly tied up at the town free docks, but they are exposed so we moved up river to a nice anchorage spot just north of the draw bridge.
6/10/2025 - Headed up river to the Dismal Swamp Canal Visitors Center dock - about 35 statute miles. Cloudy, sunny, and hot - 87F. Nice place to get off and take a walk around the visitor center park.

5/27/2025 - Lux Workday 4 - more cleaning. Started provisioning for the upcoming trip to do the Albermarle Loop.

4/13/2025 - Engine oil changes, purged pink antifreeze from various systems. Ran the genset for 30 minutes and exercised both aircon systems. Did some cleaning and inventory.
4/22/2025 - Setup halyards and reinstalled the jib. filled water tanks and ran lots of water through the plumbing system.
