Nice Jan 1 day so I got out on the kayak and paddled to Minnow Creek. I found a plastic basket that probably came from one of the work boats and returned it to their dock. Several boats and two kayaks were out. It's a nice start to the year.
11/19: Winterize Lux. Water system, aircon, heads, genset, engines, remove genoa.
11/27: Winterize Lux. Make a fitted tarp to cover the mainsail sailbag for the winter.
11/5: We were able to sail to Rock Hall. Rafted up with a friend for dinner and overnight.
11/6: Ran the HVAC with the inverter after some challenges, then with the genset to exercise it. We sailed home in S@10kn.
9/14: Kayaking with granddaughter. Paddled to Meredith Cr. No plastic. Not many boats out. Feels like the end of the season.
10/14: Sunny, 63F, S@5. Paddled up Ridout Cr. Two boats out. Very quiet. Not even geese about. More leaves in the water.
10/23: Cloudy, 60F, N@5. Paddled around the dock and cove. Added a support for the water pipe under the dock.
9/2: Lux evening sail to take a neighbor out. Sailed to Tolly Pt and back under jib only. Today is my 100th day on the water.
9/3: Lux to Lankford Bay Marina (Chester River). Another motoring day. Glad we sailed last night.
9/4: Sailing dinghy around Lankford Bay Marina. Perfect wind for the dink.
9/5: Lux headed home early to avoid the hottest part of the day. Southerly winds so we motorsailed part of the way.
9/9: Lux to Thompson Cr to go to the Shaw Bay Shore Rivers concert. Light wind required motoring.
9/10: Lux to Shaw Bay. We arrived early and got a good spot on the western edge of the bay. Other boats arrived for our raftup and we had a great time. Rigged the sailing dinghy and sailed around the bay through the large number of boats.
9/11: Cloudy, rain, 72F. We remain rafted with a friend's boat overnight. We were able to sail home (yay!).
9/1: Clear, 87F, Calm. Paddled up Ridout Cr. There's a wooden boat on a lift: Cruisers Inc. It doesn't seem to get much use. No plastic. One runabout. Extremely flat water. Nice evening out.
8/27: Lux to Eagle Cove behind Gibson Island. Scrubbed the bottom while in the fresh water here. Though there were some sea nettles. Some barnacles on the props but not too bad.
8/28: Eagle cove to Queenstown. We thought we'd be able to sail, but had to motor all the way. Great raftup with Kent Narrows squadron.
8/29: Queenstown to Whitehall. Foggy until after 9am. Another motoring day. Since it's Monday, not much powerboat chop.
