Warm enough to wear shorts and a tee shirt. Went with Alan out on his Precision sailboat around the creek and into the Potomac where the wind immediately died. Alan let me sail for a while. Ran into friends out on paddleboards who took our pic. Our days on the water are soon coming to an end, sniff.

Decided to do a fun adventure by taking the bikes via the pontoon boat to Cobb island, and biked around the island for 10 miles. Really fun way to celebrate my 100th day on the water. Had lunch at Capt John's then back home on the boat.
Bipped around the creek to check out a few more marshes to explore but the tide was too low to really get into them. Alan kayaked with me, first time in ages.
Wow, my pic has been in the August and October spin sheet magazine. So honored! Today, went on a sail arund the creek with Alan. He let me sail, which was easy as the wind was like at 2 mph. Absolutely gorgeous day out. 82 degrees, very sunny.
October 1, hard to imagine summer is slipping away. After about 1 week of fairly gloomy cold windy weather, today was beautiful. 78 degrees, a little breezy. After watching the Commanders lose to the Eagles in OT, I decided to drown my sorrows with an afternoon kayak across the creek. I discovered a marsh that somehow I had never seen before. Venturing in, I followed a water path quite a ways in until it narrowed to the point I could "feel" the spiders about to attack me. Turned around and actually had trouble retracing my steps. Should have left breadcrumbs.
Had a friend visiting and wanted to take her out on the Kiwi Kruzer. Very windy and too choppy on the Potomac. The creek was nice tho.
Alan and I went to survey the creek and any damage caused by the incredible storm yesterday. One neighbor's dock was taken out, lot of debris in the water. Saw lots of critters probably displaced by the storm including 2 otters on a dock! They moved too fast for me to get a pic.
Storm's a'comin'. Supposed to hit this afternoon, predicted to be bad, storm surge and high winds up to 50 mph. Should last @ 36 hours or more. Went for a morning kayak into the wind. Pretty ominous out there. We took everything off the lower dock and really tied up the kayaks etc. Hope the boats and tiki bar do ok
Very peaceful out on the creek. Minimal wind. Paddled to party cove and then just floated in the middle of the creek taking in the sun, the birds, the quiet. Beautiful out. The family of ducks that we've been watching since they hatched in August paid me a visit. Babies are almost full grown.
Paddled over to Flounder Fyord to see if the swans were still around. No swans but lots of geese.
