Took the Kiwi Kruzer as close to the top of Mattox Creek as we could as there were less jellyfish there and floated on our floaty chairs. Beautiful out, wonderful day.

Friends came down for a few days and we took the Kiwi Kruzer to see the sights of Colonial Beach. Hot and humid day. Lots of smoky haze from Canada.
The jellyfish are terrible this year around the creek (and the whole Potomac I hear) and the grandkidss are coming this weekend, I wanted them to enjoy the water. So I developed a jellyfish barrier to put around our little beach. Needed the kayak to install it as there were a zillion jellyfish out there just waiting to get me in spite.
Short kayak to party cove while Alan paddleboarded.
Paddled from our house across the creek following 6 swans. They wouldn't let me get too close.
Took a great tour of the lake and headed back to Don and Jan's house just at sunset. Gorgeous out.
Our friends on Smith Mountain Lake took us on their boat to the waterfront restaurant Jakes. Great ride.
Visiting friends on Smith Mountain Lake. My first time getting up (and staying up) on a paddleboard. I actually paddled around for a while and didn't fall. Friend Don kept me company.
A late afternoon lazy paddle to Harbor View Marina while Alan paddleboarded. Too many jellyfish out, what's going on??? Saw only one jetski, we had the creek to ourselves. Nice. Love this weather.
Kayaked Mattox Creek on my own while Alan sailed. I tried to catch up with him but he was too fast, so I gave up and paddled around looking at boats and checked out the sunken sailboat across the creek.
