Replaced seacock valve for the engine. Changed the raw water pump impeller. Three coats of bottom paint. Wash and wax the hull.
Century Club: Tim Etherington
Rigged the AC seacock to the engine to delvier for maintenance. Al Johnson sailed with me, Lost prime 4 times on the trip over but made it safely to get hauled out.
100 days on the water, Fitting that is back on the Sunfish. Winds were light and onshore with a heavy swell. Broached the boat while coming back on the beach.
Winds near 20 knots and close to 30 boats on Willoughby Bay. Raced with Andrew Norris on Riptide at the annual Tri-Service Cup. The race between the three service related clubs in the Hampton Roads area. Navy (Norfolk Naval Sailing Association) beat the Army 45-46 on a windy day. Navy was the host club this year. Thanks to Andrew for taking me along after Wine Down was out of commission with water pump issues. We finished second in Racing 1 but corrected to fourth.
Almost flat water and a calm sail.
Back on the water after as week in the mountains.
Light shifty winds but still a nice day to sail. There is a September Sunfish challenge. So far sailed all the days in September.
Strong onshore winds made for a sporty evening launch.
Used Dolphin Dreamer, our Chaparral 215, for race committe duty. Karen, Walt, Collette and Geroge Hernandez. Great day with a little relief from the heat. Winds started at 14 and ended around 8. Had 6 boats compete.
