Has a nice enjoyable time at the Island today, hardly anyone around. On the way back home, a boat that was probably practicing for the Power Boat shoot out this weekend passed me. It had to be the fastest boat that I ever shared the waterway with, it was crazy.

We had an eventful night , we had a crew of 5 and pretty good wind. We were thinking it wouldn't really be enough tonight but it really was. Great time as always
we took our boat our for a quick ride and sat in a quiet spot of the river for a little bit. It didn't last too long before I was called to work, and I had to return back home. Still nice while it lasted !
My wife and I did some backyard paddling today, I was in the kayak and she was on her paddleboard. We did our cove and ventured into Back River for a bit. It was almost 2 miles total. Very nice weather and a nice breeze
Tonights race was very intense, the winds were about 20-25 mph. The boat was heeling like crazy and I was struggling to keep up with the very experienced crew. It was a fun night, and a great experience. I belive we came in 2nd place with being just a few seconds behind We had a great start to the race.
I had such a great time tonight racing with this incredible crew. I'm lucky to have been able to join them and to start learning from them. We didn't get a great start tonight, but it's always fun no matter what ! Good times with good people.
Another sailing night complete....we had to cancel mid way due to the storms coming through, lots of lightning and then heavy rain on the way back to the dock. Next time I will bring a raincoat !
My wife and I took our powerboat out for a quick little cruise and anchored out for a bit to unwind. She read a book, I fell asleep for a few minutes. It was a perfect day weather wise.
Wed night our sailing group raced against the Rock Creek Sailing Association in the Patapsco. It was really cool to see all the boats and it was fun to have a larger group. It was another beautiful night. I think there was 15 boats total. We should have this larger group for the next few weeks, and I'm looking forward to that.
Today I powerwashed my boat and put the batteries back in. It started on the second try and I couldn't resist taking it for a quick ride to make sure all was working as it should. I was out for about 20 minutes , and all was going very well. Hopefully this week I will have some more outings. It was great to be back out on my home waters.
