Today, I taught a 3-hour "Taste of Sailing" class. I took a family from southern Indiana out sailing for the first time. We had quite strong winds (15+ gusts), but the Sonar 23 we were on was reefed and handled the conditions well. We had a great time!

This evening, we went on the monthly Full Moon Cruise. Winds were quite strong and it was very cloudy, so we didn't get to see the full moon. However, it was great opractice to sail in such conditions!

This evening was my second time skippering during Thursday Night Racing at the DSC (6th night of 1st series). We didn't do as well as last week, since the wind was extremely light. We had 3 races, best finish was 3rd.

Today, I took out Dorothy Gale for a short cruise out to the Star Spangled Buoy. I had 4 crew from the DSC. The weather and winds were perfect. We had a great time!

This week, we attempted a circumnavigation of the DelMarVa peninsula. We headed out from Middle River on Sunday, expecting to return the following Saturday. On Sunday night, we anchored overnight at the West River. On Monday night, we stayed at a marina in Solomons. On Tuesday and Wedesday night, we stayed in Cape Charles. On Thursday and Friday, we sailed the Atlantic, arriving in Cape May on Friday night. Unfortunately, due to engine issues, I had to leave the boat and return to Baltimore by car. It was still a great trip. I'll be posting pictures soon. :)
