Another nice day where the marina has turned the water back on! While Jeff scrubbed decks and hull, I spent my time scrubbing down below. All that remains now is installing canvas, washing and oiling teak, and flushing antifreeze out of systems so she’s ready for sailing and cruising.
Century Club: Jeff and Barb Steele
Finally had nice weather where we could go out and install the sails!
Got Melanna out of her slip today. We motored over to Spring Cove to top off fuel and a head pump out before sailing.
We drove out to Solomons to spend the day on our beloved Melanna. Upon arrival, it was clear that we would be cleaning before sailing because the decks were covered in bird poop! Got that done and got ready to motor over to pump out before sailing. Pump out not working so went back to slip frustrated because the wind died, too!
Absolutely beautiful day on the Patuxent! We also managed to find the time to clean and oil our teak.
Great sailing day on the Patuxent!
Looks like this could be last of our kayaking season. It’s been pretty chilly out in the morning and we adjust by going out later. We were hoping to see some fall colors, but not this weekend. Despite the disappointment, a wonderful relaxing time on the water.
Beautiful sunny and breezy day on our beautiful Melanna on the Patuxent River. Life is good.
Paddling this morning in between rain and upcoming colder temps.
