  • Kayaking on Abel Reservoir

Being forwarned that it would be very hot and humid, we opted to get out on the water early. With that being said, we went to our favorite “go to” close to home. It was overcast for most part and when the sun popped out, we had plenty of shade along the shoreline. Another great day on the water!

  • Kayaking on Abel Lake
  • A moment of zen on the water

We went to Abel Reservoir this morning and it was only 72 at 9:30A. It was still overcast, not all the fog had burned off so it was perfect for more in depth exploring of the lake. Though we have thoroughly enjoyed the sections of the lake we have paddled before, it was a whole new world we paddled through today. Absolutely breathtaking!

  • Kayaking at Little Falls Run

Today’s adventure had us out early this morning because of the heat. We paddled at Little Falls Run on the Rappahannock River just south of Fredericksburg in Stafford County. Nice and quiet as we had it all to ourselves. A father and son arrived with a large canoe as we were finishing up lashing our kayaks on top of our Escape.
