The last few times we were here, we were alone. Today with a healthy gap before we are hit with more rain, several people were out on their kayaks paddling or fishing as we pulled in.
Very muggy and overcast but a nice breeze made for an enjoyable trip on Abel Reservoir.
Made a quick trip to Abel Reservoir for a paddle. Another one of those squeezing a paddle in between rain showers kind of day.
A very quick paddle at Abel Reservoir in between rain showers this morning.
We drove to Abel Reservoir yesterday and it was packed so we decided to go back home. What a difference a day makes as we were the only ones there this morning! Very nice and peaceful paddle. Another couple arrived with their kayaks just as we were pulling ourselves out.
A beautiful day on our beautiful Melanna. Great way to end our holiday weekend.
Spent the last two days on the water down in Solomons. No wind yesterday but it was blowing today 10-12 kts!
While yakking on Abel Reservoir, we met Ginny and Jackie. Ginny manned a paddle board and Jackie trying out an inflatable kayak. Exchanging ideas for future yakking.
We finally got a morning where we slipped out and drove to Abel Reservoir for a paddle! Overcast and breezy and lots of fun!
Squeezed a paddle in before the rain yesterday! Today was even better at Abel Reservoir. Sunny, low humidity, and a fuller lake! We were able to paddle to two small falls without grounding...a first time for us.
