Chesapeake sailors excelled at a spectacular Sperry Charleston Race Week April 11-14.

Sailors don’t need too much arm-twisting to get them to agree to a trip to Charleston, SC, and they’re even more excited to contest the big event: Sperry Charleston Race Week 2019, set to unfold April 11-14. This year’s edition will be packed with Chesapeake talent with two dozen regional boats in the mix and still more Bay sailors crewing for others among the 264 entries. 

The Charleston YC will host the inaugural Race Management Best Practices Forum in Charleston on January 12 at the club.

Chesapeake sailors crushed it at the 2018 edition of Sperry Charleston Race Week April 20-22.

Chesapeake sailors sailed fast on the first day of racing at Sperry Charleston Race Week, the 220+ boat regatta that runs in Charleston Harbor and beyond through Sunday, April 23.

Honing your game in the off-season....

I like to think I’m a decent crew member. I’m not afraid to aggressively hike out. I always remember who likes mayo on their sandwich, and who thinks the red Gatorade is disgusting. I’ll even run the bow if the bowman is too hungover.
